We ended up at Basecamp Hotel Boulder because of a medical emergency, which left us without a car. We moved there from another hotel because of location. The walkable distance to Pearl Street from Basecamp and to the nearby intersection where there is a full handful of different excellent places to eat proved the wisdom of our switch. We feared it might prove too funky (particularly to a couple in our 70s) but it wasn't at all. The vibe is good. The room is not large, but it was very clean and comfortable, cute, thoughtful, personal and functional. The toilet and shower room - the sink is outside- was a little narrow, but not problemmatic. The ice chest instead of a refrigerator was unusual, but clever and worked for us. Thete was some socializing at nights, but it never got loud and ended at 11. Finally, the staff we dealt with were without exception all wonderful - bright, engaged, pleasant, helpful and capable. We encounteted a family emergency during our stay. Jonathan, who is outfront most and with whom we dealt with most, in particular was responsive, helpful and engaged. I think that the company should give him a big handful of cash in recognition of his effort and value.

The location was very convenient, easy walk to downtown boulder and free parking. Also very near a bus stop to/from the Boulder bus station which is convenient if you arrive on the airport bus AB1 as we did. The room was spacious and clean. It is a motel-style room and layout, with free coffee making facilities (and teabags at reception when we asked). The additional amenities were well kept and seemed clean. Unfortunately not enough time to use the sauna and hot tub, but we used the washing facilities on the first night when some sun cream exploded in my suitcase - the lady behind the desk even locked up a little late for me to let the cycle finish. We would stay here again if we come back to Boulder.

The room was very good, this place probably was an old motel but very nicely done up, with nice common areas (small climbing wall, ping pong, terrace with 'camp'fire). Walkable to Pearl Street, but not super close In the summer we stayed at the University Inn, but if we return, I prefer Basecamp

Refurbished motel that has a vibrant, youthful approach, aimed at those who love nature and the outdoors. Lots of design choices make it seem like you are staying at a cabin in the woods, such as vintage lamps, and an ice chest that doubles as footrest. The linens were super clean and comfortable, as was the bed. Also liked the outdoor firepits, bar and common area, with drinks selection and makings for s'mores. With a glass of wine by the firepit, it really felt like a fun campout. The common area has a climbing wall. The guest laundry was quite convenient. The location is very close to the university as well as Pearl Street mall. Although we had a rental car, we kept it parked at Basecamp and hiked everywhere around Boulder. We did end up driving to see Chautauqua and NCAR, as that was just a bit too far on a hot day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a problem with our initial room and they moved us straight away. Room was very spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, good shower and plenty of storage. They also provide all toiletries and a large cool box for food as well as a kettle. Aircon worked well. The places has plenty of free parking. There's a climbing wall and table tennis, plus sauna/jacuzzi to relax in. The bar has local beers and there's nice outdoor seating with firepits. They provide a complimentary 'grab n go' breakfast with tea/coffee and muffins/fruit/yoghurt etc. The location is perfect, about a 10-15 min walk from Pearl street, and about 5 mins from the Boulder Creek path and around 5-10mins from the centre of the University campus. There is also a charging hub for the hireable city eBikes about 200 yards down the road, although we couldn't use these as you need an American mobile phone number to create an account.

The room was very basic but it was clean and well laid out, had a nice bathroom (with good water pressure in the shower and sink), and the location was right in the heart of the city close to the CU Boulder campus and a lot of the local shops and restaurants. I really liked that the room had recycling options rather than just trash cans and ways for conserving water if needed. Also awesome that they had laundry rooms on site and open fire pits for just hanging out later in the evening if you want to stay outside when it starts to get chillier.

Stayed here for 3 nights and the room was just as we expected. No frills, but it met all of our needs. The bed was very nice and the AC did a good job of keeping the room cool. The room was clean and it smelled clean too. The location was perfect as it is in a quiet residential area located between campus and Pearl St and within walking distance of both. I would definitely stay here again for a short trip.

Location was perfect for visiting CU Boulder. I walked to the physics building each morning with no problems (walk through graduate housing). There are a few nice causal restaurants within walking distance. 20 minutes walking to Pearl Street. As a bonus, it's a 30 minute walk to Chautauqua Park and less than 1 hour to the base of the First Flatiron! The bouldering area in the activity room was surprisingly convenient for a regular climber to get a quick workout after work. Not far from a few local climbing gyms.

Our stay was perfect. We had 3 room and a range of ages from 3-80 years old. The staff was more than accommodating making us feel comfortable and taking care of everyone. They all gave great suggestions of where to eat or visit. John is amazing at making coffee for us and a perfect hot chocolate for my 3 year old granddaughter and we had great morning conversation. Koda welcomed our large group and check In The as smooth. Jimena made sure fire pits were lit, game room opened and we had plenty of s’mores and wine. Rooms were clean and nothing fancy but decor was perfect for a “basecamp” theme. It was perfect location with being walking distance from Pearl St and Village Diner and close to major highways to shoot up to the mountains. We will definitely be back.

The amenities were amazing, and open late! It made staying in at nights soooo enjoyable. The hot tub was clean and so much fun, the climbing wall was so exciting, and the bonfire pit was such a fun surprise!! We even indulged in a beer bucket for super cheap during happy hour, and got to enjoy it on the deck. It’s a short walk across property to snarfs, and we got to each it during the fire too. Such a great location from pearl st aswell!!!
